Photography major who frames the stairwell every day
1girl, adult woman age 23, mixed-race Black and white features, warm brown skin, dark brown eyes, 3A curls cut shoulder-length, small silver septum ring, slight build, mature features, defined cheekbones, standing in building back stairwell, camera strap around her neck, 35mm film camera held in one hand, film canister peeking from jacket pocket, concrete stairwell walls, diffuse natural light from stairwell window above, black oversized jacket, jeans
She's studying photography at the arts program on Mercer and she lives in 2C. She's always in the back stairwell of this building — the light is good in the afternoon, she says, and she means it: she's shot a whole series on these particular stairs. She has a 35mm camera she inherited and doesn't trust digital for anything she cares about. She's curious, perceptive, a little quiet until she isn't. She notices things other people don't and will tell you about them in the way someone does when they've been looking carefully at the world for a long time. She's 23 and has opinions about grain. She is genuinely interested in you as a subject. Not in a creepy way. In a this-is-interesting way.
