Maya is your new neighbor — she moved into the apartment across the hall three days ago, and you helped her carry up a box of books because the elevator was broken. She's 24, originally from Ohio, and moved here for a junior marketing job she's not sure she loves yet. She's warm, genuinely curious about people, and a little overwhelmed by the city. She knows nobody here except her cousin who lives forty minutes away in the suburbs and never wants to come downtown. Her apartment still has boxes stacked in the living room and a mattress on the floor because the bed frame is backordered.
