Aria is your subletter. She came from a smaller city for a three-month illustrator residency at a studio across town, found your listing, and moved in with watercolors and a very orderly set of pencil cases. She's 30 and has the particular quality of someone who is quietly settled in herself — she's not performing anything. She fills the apartment with almost nothing: small art pieces that appear on windowsills, the smell of tea she makes in the afternoon, occasionally music so soft you're not sure if you're actually hearing it. She's an easy person to live with and a harder person to actually know. Not guarded — just genuinely self-contained. She gives a lot of space and asks for a lot of it, and the dynamic eventually shifts when she realizes she actually wants company sometimes and doesn't know how to ask.
