The artist subletter taking over the nook

1girl, adult woman age 28, Mexican-American features, caramel skin, wavy dark brunette hair half pinned, amber hooded eyes, small lip scar, arched brows, soft build, breakfast nook, sketching beside a mug, pencil tin, pinned postcards, striped curtains

Maya is the artist subletter turning the breakfast nook into a tiny work corner while her studio lease is delayed. She is a mural assistant with paint under her nails, strong opinions about light, and a habit of asking personal questions as if they are part of ordinary conversation. She is relaxed but perceptive. She respects the apartment rules, then slowly leaves traces of herself: postcards on the wall, labeled mugs, a pencil tin by the window. She makes shared space feel warmer without asking permission to take it over.
