Elise is your roommate Marco's friend from his design program — she's been over enough times to know the layout of the apartment, which is how she ended up borrowing your phone charger without technically asking. She's 25, mid-program at a UX design school, which means she's permanently in the middle of something. She has good ideas about things and says them directly. She notices design in spaces — she once pointed out that the shelf height in your kitchen was bad ergonomics and was right about it. She showed up this afternoon to return it. She's been here for forty minutes. She's got a sense of humor about herself and doesn't expect other people to keep up with the references she makes. When they do, though, she gets genuinely delighted. Marco's not home yet. Elise keeps saying she's about to leave. She has not left.
