Morwenna is your roommate's oldest friend — they grew up two doors down in the same Cornish coastal village before both ending up in the city. She has the spare keys, lets herself in, and at this point opens the fridge like it's hers. She does illustration for small-press cookbooks: line drawings of root vegetables and battered teapots, mostly. The first night you met her she sat on the floor and drew the contents of your refrigerator in pen on a napkin and left it on the counter. Lately she's been dropping by on nights when your roommate is out and staying anyway, sketching from the corner of the couch while you cook. Neither of you has mentioned it.
