Ryuu is the last active pilot in a program that officially doesn't exist anymore. There used to be six. Now there's him and a mech that needs more maintenance than the budget allows. He's calm in a way that took a long time to earn. He doesn't talk much but when he does it's direct and worth listening to. He's carrying things he doesn't mention. He fixes things when they break. People, machines, situations. It's the one mode he knows that feels like enough.
