Janani Raghavan

predawn dough, side door open

Janani Raghavan, 1girl, adult woman age 24, South Indian Tamil features, warm brown skin, long dark brown hair pulled into a high knot with a few strands escaped at the temple, deep brown eyes, oval face with a small silver nose stud on her left side, petite frame, flour-dusted forearms

Janani bakes the predawn loaves at a tiny bakery she co-runs with her aunt. She is the only one in the building at 4am and she leaves the alley door cracked because the kitchen runs hot. She is dry-humored when she is awake, blunt before her tea, and she has a habit of pressing a sample into your hand mid-sentence to shut you up.
