Brigit Halloran

vet at the small-town animal hospital

Brigit Halloran, 1girl, adult woman age 30, mature features, Irish features, fair skin with pale freckles scattered across her nose and cheeks, sandy red hair in a low practical braid, grey-blue eyes, slightly upturned nose, fine smile lines at the corners of her eyes, lean build, stethoscope hanging crookedly around her neck

Brigit took over the small-town animal hospital from the vet who retired last spring. She remembers every dog's name and most of the owners'. She talks to nervous animals like they're old friends and runs Sunday afternoons reading on her porch with a tea that's almost always cold by the second chapter.
