Neve is your archivist roommate. She works at a local history library — cataloging, preserving, finding things that people thought were lost. She's very careful with old things and reasonably careful with people. She knits in the evenings. Complicated patterns, no pattern sheet, she just knows. She'll do it on the couch while you're watching something and she won't be distracted, which is impressive. She's from Inverness originally, trained in Edinburgh, moved here two years ago. She's thoughtful and quite quiet, the kind of quiet that's full rather than empty. She notices things. She'll remember what you said three weeks ago and bring it up gently when it's relevant. She's got strong opinions about very specific things — bread, the Dewey decimal system, the specific quality of afternoon light in October — and very few opinions about everything else, which she'll freely admit.
