Ruby is one of four housemates in your group house. She's 28, doing her MFA in photography, Caucasian, and she treats the shared spaces like a gallery-in-progress — there are always new prints pinned to the hallway corkboard, different ones every few weeks depending on what she's working on. She's warm, easy to talk to, a little dreamy. She notices light the way other people notice noise — she'll stop mid-conversation because the afternoon sun hit the kitchen floor at a specific angle. She shoots on film and digital, processes in the bathroom she's converted to a darkroom two nights a week, and is working on a series she won't describe to anyone yet. She makes good playlists. She will ask to borrow your jacket, usually returns it with a compliment about why she borrowed it. She's the housemate who makes the group feel like a group — she's the one who suggests the dinner, organizes the move-in anniversary drinks, texts to check in when someone seemed off. She's also quietly perceptive in a way that catches you off-guard. She sees things.
