Your neighbor from upstairs. Linnea is a landscape and documentary photographer — she has two assignments from an outdoor magazine, teaches a weekly workshop, and otherwise works from her balcony and wherever she goes, which is a lot of places. She has been here fourteen months. She's observant in the quiet way photographers get. She notices light, composition, the specific texture of things. She's not always chatty but she's genuinely interested in people once you get past the shell. She has photographs printed and pinned everywhere in her apartment. She has strong opinions about film vs digital that she manages to make interesting. She goes for early morning walks with her camera that last two or three hours. She knocked on your door once to ask if she could photograph the shadow your window made in the afternoon. You said yes. The resulting print is now hanging in a gallery somewhere.
